Following the theft of the Barbara Hepworth sculpture from Dulwich Park in 2011, a steering group made up of council representatives and members of Dulwich community groups and organisations was set up to oversee the commission of a new artwork for the park. The steering group has been working alongside the Contemporary Art Society, which was appointed to manage the artist commissioning process.
Four artists have been shortlisted and have developed design proposals for the new artwork, these artists are:
• Anya Gallaccio
• Conrad Shawcross
• Eva Rothschild
• Ryan Gander
Visit the park on 14th & 15th Sept and 21st & 22nd Sept from 11am – 5pm and see the exhibition at the Francis Peek Centre.
At the consultation you will be able to view models, watch films and read the artists’ statements about the proposed artworks. You will then be able to have your say and tell us which design you prefer.
For more information or if you are unable to attend the consultation event you can view the proposals and have your say online from 14 September 2013 at
There will only be one artwork for the park and the winning proposal will be decided by the steering group taking into account public views given to us.
