London Borough of Southwark is promoting a major green initiative – which is both exciting and much needed. Now you can play your part.
The plan is to transform Greendale fields in East Dulwich/Camberwell into a new park for the community.
Southwark’s parks newsletter requests public input: “This big area of open space, just behind Dog Kennel Hill Open Space and Sainsburys, is full of potential and we want to hear your views on what can be done with it. If we did create a new park here, what would you like to see in it?”
Regrettably the public consultation has closed but all the documents are available at:

Please lobby your local amenity society – the Dulwich Society (chairman@dulwichsociety.com), The Friends of Greendale http://www.friendsofgreendale.org.uk/ – or your local councillors with any views you may have about the proposals.
A further consultation event is planned on 20th September to present the updated design proposals, taking into account the feedback received.
